Alderwood believes that every detail is vital to the success of a job, from the river rock and plantings to the wood and paver design. For this project, there were several goals. While the yard was not an irregular size or shape, the clients' request for a traditional outdoor space with several elements while still leaving a sizable lawn required specific design tactics.
Drainage challenges were overcome by the Alderwood team, along with angling the desired water feature and fire pits to provide stunning views from multiple rooms inside. Upon the client's request, crews used deciduous trees to provide privacy and included plantings such as Japanese Maples, flowers, perennials, and conifers for colorful interest year-round.
The final project exceeded client expectations. With their outdoor space finally how they wanted it, our clients can now enjoy hosting both indoors and out!
