Hoping to make better use of their large backyard, these homeowners contacted us for the wooden retreat of their dreams! With an outdoor swim spa, custom outdoor structure, and two fire pits, this luxury landscape provides the perfect "getaway."
These clients had several main requests. They wanted to keep a bit of their backyard open while still including significant features such as a covered structure, fire pits, pool, and dog run for their golden retrievers. However, the steep hillside on the edge of the property and budget restrictions required some unique ideas.
With such challenges, our designers had to develop creative solutions. When considering their list of wants, our clients realized an in-ground pool wouldn't work with their budget. Instead, our architect created a design that included a more affordable swim spa. He designed it partially counter-sunk with a wrap-around deck area, offering our clients the perfect compromise. This setup allowed them to include a nearby covered dining and kitchen area that provided separate entertaining spaces but still felt connected.
Features that are unique to this property include a gorgeous palm tree, a crusher cone fire pit, and a custom-designed covered structure. The dog run was also added in such a place to be accessible from the enlarged deck, allowing for easy canine access.
Our clients are thrilled with their new backyard space! With it checking off each item on their list, they can now enjoy their outdoor entertaining space for years to come!
