Several challenges came into play with this lakefront property, such as a large amount of drainage work and access and permitting issues. Alderwood's team coordinated with the home construction crews for seamless install of the gas and electrical lines. Our architects focused on the client's modern style, stressing strict 90-degree angles, flat line accents, and a streamlined design. Large hand-cut basalt stone steps created a walkway down to the water, and low-growing shrubs provided visual barriers between the fire pit and dining areas.
